The Ariegeoise Cyclosportive - Saturday 25th of June, 2011
Prepare for and take part in one of the largest and best organised cyclosportive events in France.
The Ariegeoise is a challenging cyclosportive based in our local town of Tarascon-sur-Ariege in the French Pyrenees. The event usually takes place the last weekend in June... Its mountainous course and spectacular cols have seen it grow in popularity year on year with over 3500 participants in 2010. For more information on this year's course, click on the following link :
There are 3 courses available so this cyclosportive really caters for everyone:
- L'Ariegeoise 165km, 3102m climbing - Make no mistake, this is a tough cyclosportive which can be made even more challenging if the weather is hot.
- La Mountagnole 117km, 2583m climbing - Not as arduous as the Ariegeoise but still challenging although participants tend to be more laid back and have time to enjoy the carnival atmosphere. A good last minute training ride for anyone entered in the Etape de Tour.
- La Passejade 74km - A randosportive rather than a cyclosportive, this course is really for those new to cycling with very little altitude gain.
